This season's French Ligue 1 awards ceremony was a Paris Saint-Germain PSG feast.
The French Professional Football Players Association UNFP held the French Ligue 1 Awards ceremony for the 2023-2024 season in Paris, France, on the 14th to announce the player of the year, the young player of the year, the team of the year, and the overseas player of the year.
This year's player of the year was Kylian Mbappe's. Mbappe led PSG's top scorer with 27 goals this season and three times the league title. He has been honored as UNFP's player of the year for five consecutive years. He has the most winners since the 1993-1994 season. The previous most winners were Zlatan Ibrahimovic three times.
Mbappe, who will leave PSG at the end of this season, was named the team of the year and won two awards. In addition to Mbappe, seven PSG players including Usman Dembele, Warren Zaire-Emery, Vitinha, Archraf Hakimi, Marquignos, and Gianluigi Donnarumma were named the team of the year. Donnarumma was named the goalkeeper of the year for the first time in two years, while Zaire-Emery, 18, won the Young Player of the Year award. Dembele, the "French national team," was named the team's striker of the year category even though he only scored three goals in the league this season.
Lee Kang-in was not named in this year's team. After joining PSG this season, Lee scored two goals and three assists in 21 matches, helping his team win the Ligue 1 title and the trophy de Champion. If he wins the final match of Olympique Lyonnais and Coop de Princes on Wednesday, he will achieve a "domestic treble."
As he successfully settled down in his first season in Ligue 1, he can look forward to the next season.
PSG coach Luis Enrique missed out on the Coach of the Year award. Coach Erik Roy, who led Stade Brestua to the European club competition for the first time in his club's history, was chosen as the winner. Brestua is currently in fourth place as of the 33rd round. ์คํฌ์ธ ํ ํ ์ฌ์ดํธ ์ถ์ฒ
