🙃Queen Baton Rouge opens in August

The Queen Baton Rouge, formerly Hollywood Casino Baton Rouge, which cost $85 million in total to officially open to the public on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 9 p.m. In addition to a land move from the Mississippi River, the new casino, dining, and entertainment destinations will expand from 62,000 square feet to more than 100,000 square feet.

"The Queen Baton Rouge ushered in a new era for gaming and entertainment across the region as well as this historic property, and we're excited to open for the Baton Rouge community and neighbors in the surrounding area."

Queen Baton Rouge's suggestions are as follows:

Casino – With more than 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor gaming space, Queen Baton Rouge offers 731 gaming consoles, 18 table games, including blackjack, crab, roulette, and pygou poker, and a variety of electronic table options. LIT Casino & Bar, a dedicated smoking patio, will serve craft cocktails, beer, and wine in a vibrant atmosphere with 150 gaming positions.

Sportsbook – Developed in partnership with sports betting leader DraftKings, DraftKings Sportsbook will provide a state-of-the-art gaming destination with modern design, full bar, and cutting-edge sports betting technology through 20 kiosks and four betting windows. Lounge-style seating, 28-foot video walls, and large high-definition TVs will provide optimal viewing for sports fans.

Dining – Guests can enjoy a wide range of food and beverage options, from the full-service original concept to three quick-service restaurants.

Opened for lunch and dinner, the 1717 will specialize in rustic American cuisine. The restaurant's bar will offer guests a social experience as well as nearly 40 HD TVs to watch the latest sporting events.

The Loft at 1717, provides indoor and outdoor party space for sunset social time, additional meals and private parties overlooking the Mississippi River.

Shaquille O'Neal-owned Big Chicken will offer classic fan favorites such as Boozy Milkshake, popcorn chicken, and Lucille's Mac N' Cheese, as well as a big-tasting tender for guests to enjoy while looking out at the Mississippi River.

3 Works Noodle Bar will feature a variety of authentic pan-Asian dishes.

Capitol Coffee Baton Rouge will offer a variety of items, including traditional brews, modern tea, breakfast and lunch, just a short distance from the casino floor.

Entertainment – Guests will enjoy live music and other performances on stage in 1717.

Meetings – More than 6,000 square feet of flexible event space will be available across three multipurpose rooms that can accommodate more than 500 guests for corporate gatherings, weddings, private parties, and more. Parking – A redesigned parking lot with more space and additional lighting will give you closer access to the main entrance. The main entrance, which features valet parking, will have the structure of a stylish front door.
